Oh, what a summer...

Hello friends around the country,

Thanks to all of you for making Summer 2006 a fabulous time for my band. Just one show left before I catch my breath and take some time off. For all of you Notre Dame fans: if you plan to be in South Bend for the Purdue game this coming weekend, come join me for some music at the ND bookstore's main stage this Friday and Saturday. Each football season, the University welcomes back its alumni musicians to perform on campus, and it's always a lot of fun:

Friday & Saturday
September 29-30th

The University of Notre Dame
Notre Dame, IN
Stage located outside the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore
Friday performance: 3:00-3:45pm
Saturday performance: 9:00-9:45am

Thank you to the following communities
for inviting us to be a part of your 2006 summer concert season!

Napa, CA - Napa County Fair
Burlingame, CA - Art in the Park Festival
Redwood City, CA - July 4th Celebration
Menlo Park, CA - Concert in the Park
Redwood City, CA - Concert in the Plaza

Extra special thanks to the Broadway Lounge in Redwood City, CA, who welcomed us each Wednesday night all summer long for our open rehearsals. Billy, Iris, Shawn, and Jamie have done a fabulous job renovating the club and we are excited to celebrate its new look and perform a "real show" for everyone there on Friday, November 3rd. Join us if you can. Music will start at 9:00pm. Details listed on our events page.

Emily Lord Music in Film

"One Day at a Time" was selected for the soundtrack of a short film this summer entitled "The Kiss," by Xoflow Films. It was Mark Brown and his team's third year in a row participating in the 48-Hour Film Festival in San Francisco after winning awards like "Best Editing," "Best Credits," and "Best Costumes." What an honor to have one of my tunes fit so perfectly into another artistic medium.

Looking for a band for your corporate or private event this winter?

Holiday parties and winter gatherings will be upon us soon! To our friends in the San Francisco Bay Area, drop us a line if you need a country-rock band for an upcoming event. We will play whatever mix of cover songs, dance music, and/or original tunes you want to hear. Visit the Emily Lord Band link and feel free to contact my booking manager, Kate Tyler, with any questions at info@junglequeenrecords.com

Take care and stay well.
